The permanent dull ache

Stretching pulls the muscle. It never gets to where the ache actually sits.

  • Eight hours in a chair sets your hips and back like concrete.

  • A long-haul flight leaves your legs stiff for days.

  • The knot sits exactly where your own hands can't reach.

Stretching lengthens. Rolling presses. Pressure is the thing a knot answers to.

What the grid does

Cheaper than a massage, minus the booking

The raised ridges do what a thumb does when it finds the spot; the softer channels roll along the muscle. One tool, every knot, whenever you actually have ten minutes.

  • Warms the muscle

Two minutes and cold, tight muscle goes warm and loose.

  • Reaches the knot

Ridges get to the spot your own hands never could.

  • Presses, doesn't pull

Stretching pulls at the muscle. The grid gets underneath it.

  • Undoes the sitting

Eight hours of desk chair, put back where it was.

I use it frequently as a bolster to aid the efficacy of stretches and mobility exercises. Being cylindrical, able to move with people, and not be locked in place is much more effective at times than a normal bolster/block.

I'm a sports chiropractor and I recommend Verantu's foam rollers all the time. I've worked with a couple PTs in my town and they recommend it too.

I had bad pain in my upper back, along the left side. Stretching wasn't helping, lifting wasn't helping and it was starting to keep me up at night from the pain. I started foam rolling 4 weeks ago, it's pretty much gone now unless I sleep funny on my left side.

Straight answers

Questions, answered honestly

Is it too firm for a beginner?

The medium-density EVA is firm enough to reach deep tissue but forgiving on day one. New to rolling? Start on a carpet and keep sessions to a minute or two per muscle.

How often should I use it?

Daily is fine. Most people roll for five to ten minutes after work or training — a couple of slow passes over each tight area is plenty.

Does it help after flights or long drives?

That’s one of its best uses. Ten minutes on the quads, calves and glutes clears the stiffness that builds up from hours of sitting still.

What if it's not for me?

Live with it for 90 days. If it doesn’t earn its spot in your routine, get a full refund — no questions asked.
